Who We are.
NOMG was formed in December 2006. We are a group of mammal enthusiasts who wish to increase the information about the distribution of mammals throughout the County. We focus in particular on those species which do not already have their own local interest group and/or those which are currently under recorded in North Oxfordshire.

North Oxfordshire Mammal Group is affiliated to The Mammal Society (registered charity number 278918)
Aims
To promoted the study and conservation of the mammals of Oxfordshire and their habitats by:
· Developing recording, monitoring and research initiatives.
· Providing information and advice.
· Providing a forum for those interested in mammals in Oxfordshire.
· Raising awareness of Oxfordshire’s mammals, their ecology and conservation needs.
· Working in partnership with other relevant organisations.
Membership
· Membership is open to anyone who shares the aims of the group, on payment of the annual subscription fee.
· Members are expected to follow all statutory requirements in respect of mammals and the countryside code when engaged in any NOMG activity.
Organisation
· A steering group will be responsible for the running of the group and overseeing the group’s finances.
· Group meeting will be held as and when required, with decisions made by majority vote.
· Notes will be kept of all group meeting and made available to members on request.
Finances
· All funds raised by or on behalf of NOMG will be used only to further the aims and objectives of the group.
· All funds will be held by a group nominated person, and made available on request with steering group’s prior approval.
· Annual accounts will be prepared and made available for inspection.
· In the event of the dissolution of the group, any financial or other assets will pass to The Mammal Society.
